"What are your plans for the rest of the day?" Sincere asked as we were getting ready to close out the day.

"I gotta go by the grocery store and get something to cook for the night. Then I have to go and pick up Kaine from my mom. Other than that, nothing much other than I have to make sure that I get these notes in for Wynter's court case in the morning. Hopefully, Jamie isn't home because I swear that I'm not in the mood for his bullshit tonight." Just thinking about the argument this morning left a bad taste in my mouth.

"Well, don't make any plans this weekend. I want to go and try out that new hookah lounge that just opened not far from my place. I've been hearing some good shit, and I want to see what the vibe is like," Sincere stated.

"I would have to let you know. It depends on if I can get either my mom or Jay's mom to watch Kaine. Even though I don't too much care for Michelle, she does come through for me when I need her to."

"I'll be by around ten to pick you up. That should give you enough time to get everything situated. Maybe we will get a chance to see your boy around." Sincere chuckled, which left me confused.

"Ah, what boy you talking about? 'Cause if I see Jay out anywhere, that's just gone fuck up the whole night for me," I replied, shaking my head.

"Bitch, ain't nobody talking about no damn Jay. I'm talking about that sexy ass dude Trent that was in here earlier. Do you plan on hitting him up?" Sincere quizzed or at least she tried to.

"For what? I already got enough on my damn plate dealing with my cheating ass baby daddy. I don't have the energy to entertain somebody else and their baggage too. I'm good on Mr. Goodbar." I couldn't help but chuckle at the name I had given him.

Wynter and Mahzi were out of the office for the rest of the day, so we gathered our things to end another stressful workday. I powered down my computer and grabbed the file I would be taking home to work on. After I grabbed my keys, phone, and purse, I was ready to walk out the door.

"Shit wit' the foolery that Jamie be on, I don't see where it would hurt to get to know someone else. Who knows? Chile, he might be the one for you right there. If not, at least have some fun with him, " she stressed to me.

"This coming from you, as soon as a nigga gets to talking about getting serious, your ass runs for the fucking hills." I couldn't help but laugh at her ass. Sincere was cool. She just didn't feel like she would ever take a man seriously.

"You worried about me, don't do that. Love don't live here, baby. My ass is just too damn toxic, and that's all I know.
